High Value SG

Lance Stephenson, IND at CLE ($4700): Stephenson popped for 16 points, seven boards and three assists in 27 minutes of Game 1. This was his best game since he re-put on the Pacers uniform, and it came in the postseason. Stephenson is clearly re-establishing himself as an impact player for the Pacers, and he is unafraid of either the moment or LeBron James. ****

Danny Green, SA vs MEM ($3800): Green started at shooting guard and turned in two points, five rebounds, four blocks, a steal and an assist in 20 minutes in Game 1. While his 19.5 fantasy points in 20 minutes sounds good, much of this came on the back of five combined blocks/steals which isn’t sustainable. If he doesn’t get his shot working soon, he could be outperformed by some of the other Spurs off the bench, particularly Manu Ginobili or Jonathon Simmons. **

J.R. Smith, CLE vs IND ($3600): Smith made only one of his nine shots from the field on his way to three points, four assists, two boards and a steal in 25 minutes of Game 1. Smith is in the midst of a terrible shooting slump that has lasted four games now (20.6% FG in that stretch), and won’t be a reliable option until he breaks out. On the plus side, his minutes and peripheral stats were acceptable, so if his shot starts falling his overall value should recover. ***
