The San Jose Sharks face the Edmonton Oilers in Game 4 of their NHL playoff series at SAP Center on Tuesday, April 18.
The San Jose Sharks will look to even their series with the Edmonton Oilers in game 4 of their NHL playoff series. The Oilers have gotten back-to-back shutouts from goalie Cam Talbot to take the lead in the series.
When the playoffs began, no one would have predicted the impact that Zack Kassian would have for the Oilers. The 25-year-old tough guy has scored the game-winning goal in both games for the Oilers. Kassian was drafted in the first round of the 2009 draft by Buffalo, but has found his footing in the small Canadian city. The Oilers acquired Kassian from the Montreal Canadiens after he was suspended by the NHL for substance issues.
San Jose center Joe Thornton returned in Game 3 after missing the previous five games with an injury. The big center should help generate offense for the Sharks. In the two losses, the Sharks combined for just 39 shots. If San Jose is going to even the series on home ice, they need to test Talbot more often. In the Sharks’ Game 1 overtime win, the team took 44 shots.
The NHL playoff game between the San Jose Sharks and Edmonton Oilers will be broadcast on NBCSN and Sportsnet in Canada. Live streaming is available on NBC Sports and Sportsnet Now which you can access with your cable or satellite, either online or through their app.
