Barcelona and Juventus drew 0-0 at Camp Nou on Wednesday, April 19. Here are all the highlights from the match.

Barcelona started fast in the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal against Juventus, pressing with a frantic intensity reminiscent of their comeback against Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16.

But Juventus are not PSG, and after withstanding Barca’s early press, they settled into the match well. They weren’t flawless at the back — Lionel Messi probably should’ve scored in the 19th minute, but dragged his volley wide — but they didn’t lose their cool, and looked consistently dangerous on the counter-attack.

Juan Cuadrado was an excellent outlet down the right, while Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala were both willing runners alongside him. Higuain had Juve’s best chance of the half, but appeared to slip as he volleyed harmlessly straight at Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The home side became increasingly exasperated as the first half wore on, arguing with the referee on a number of occasions over what they perceived to be fouls committed on Messi and Neymar. They were right in some cases, wrong in others, but their protests seemed to reveal their growing desperation. Who could blame them?

Barca ratcheted up the pressure in the second half, as the visitors seemed content to sit deep. They did a convincing job of it, too, restricting Luis Enrique’s side to a series of half chances.

Messi had a good shot deflected wide by Giorgio Chiellini and blazed over a free-kick from 20 yards out. Barca’s best chance fell to Javier Mascherano, on as a substitute, who was smothered by Gianluigi Buffon when through on goal.

This was Juve’s match, though, and Juve’s tie. They were dominant over the 180 minutes and have a real chance of winning their first Champions League since 1996.
