Golden State has been on a roll entering the playoffs winning 15 of their last 16 games. Even though Kevin Durant has, what seems like a minor calf injury and will miss a game or two, the Warriors are the prohibitive favorite to take the title. LeBron James thinks the Cavs are close to being at their best. Ratings should be huge for a Warriors vs Cavs finals for the third straight year.
Can we please get a new rule for the MVP race? If the top two candidates are playing each other in round one, then the MVP race will be decided after the series. Right now, the MVP would go to James Harden. Perhaps, by the end of the series, Russell Westbrook will be back on top.
Tip of the entertaining cap to Memphis Grizzlies head coach David Fizdale for his referee meltdown after game two versus San Antonio. Acting tough, while simultaneously crying is a tough balance, but Fizdale did his best letting out both his anger and hurt after his team was not seen accurately, in his opinion, by the referees.
What an odd start to the NHL playoffs. No one saw Nashville’s potential sweep of Chicago coming. The Blackhawks had the second most points in franchise history, but look like an early exit. And then there are the St. Louis Blues rolling past the disappointing Minnesota Wild.
Cam Newton has a new style, wearing a romper, while showing up at Coachella. Cam has never been afraid to stand out, and actually pulls off the look. Sort of.

In our winners and losers segment we have another cheater, Starling Marte, who has been suspended for 80 games. Marte was extremely popular in the Pirates clubhouse where he somewhat classily apologized to his teammates for putting himself before the team. Marte will be back after the All-Star break, but will not be able to play in the postseason if the Pirates make it that far.
