The Minnesota Wild face the St. Louis Blues in game 4 of their NHL playoff series at the Scottrade Center on Wednesday, April 19.
The St. Louis Blues will attempt to become the first team in the Western Conference to advance to the second round of the NHL playoffs on Wednesday night. Blues head coach Mike Yeo could sweep the team that fired him in February 2016.
St. Louis goalie Jake Allen was considered one of the bigger question marks in net. However, the 26-year-old has been fantastic, allowing just one goal in each of the first three games. Allen is posting an incredible .974 save percentage. If he can continue his strong play, the Blues will be a tough out.
Jaden Schwartz has seen in role increase in the playoffs. The Saskatchewan native is playing over 22 minutes per game, three minutes more than his regular season average. In addition to the extra ice time, Schwartz has scored two goals and added an assist.
In the regular season, the Wild had eight forwards score more than 15 goals and record more than 40 points in the regular season. If the Wild are going to extend their playoff lives they need someone in addition to Zach Parise scoring. Parise has scored two of the Wild’s three playoff goals.
