In a bizarre situation, Buffalo Bills offensice tackle Cyrus Kouandijo yelled at police to shoot him while partially clothed.
The city of Buffalo is going through some trying times. Just a day after Buffalo Sabres center Jack Eichel claimed he didn’t want head coach Dan Bylsma fired, the team fired Bylsma and general manager Tim Murray. This isn’t even the weirdest thing to happen to a team from the city on Thursday. Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Cyrus Kouandijo was found partially clothed in a field. When police approached him, he told them to shoot him.
"According to a police source, Kouandjio was found, not fully clothed, in a field after climbing over an electric fence. When an Erie County Sheriff’s deputy went to detain him, the source said, the 6-foot-7, 322-pound Kouandjio yelled, “Shoot me!”"
Very few details have been released at this point, but it’s obvious he’s not in a good state of mind. While Kouandijo isn’t being detained by police, he is under supervision at Erie County Medical Center. Hopefully the young man is alright.
“We are aware of the matter involving Cyrus and are carefully monitoring his condition and gathering more information,” the Bills said in a statement. “We don’t have all of the details, so we won’t have any further comment at this time.”

Kouandijo appeared in 12 games for the Bills in 2016 with five starts. Since joining the team in 2014, he has seven starts and 25 appearances. Kouandijo was selected in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft after attending Alabama. He attended DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. Kouandijo did not attend minicamp on Thursday and there’s no timetable for his return to the Bills.
