Canadiens vs. Rangers live stream, Game 5: TV schedule, online and more
By Adam Stocker
The Montreal Canadiens face the New York Rangers in Game 5 of their NHL playoff series at the Bell Centre on Thursday, April 20. Here’s how to watch.
The Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers head back to the Bell Centre tied two games a piece in their first round series. After losing the two previous games, New York bounced back with a 2-1 win in Game 4.
The battle in goal between Henrik Lundqvist and Carey Price has been extremely close. Both teams have allowed eight goals in the first four games of the series. The difference in the series so far is that Lundqvist has faced 21 more shots than Price. If Montreal continues to significantly out-shoot the Rangers, they will likely advance to the second round.
Alexander Radulov continues to be the Canadiens most creative offensive player. The pending free agent has six points in the series so far. In the regular season, Max Pacioretty and Paul Byron combined for 57 goals. The duo has combined for one goal in the series. For Montreal to advance, they need Pacioretty to start finding back of the net.
Rick Nash and Michael Grabner combined for 50 goals in the regular season. In the playoffs, the two players have combined for four of New York’s eight goals. For the Rangers to advance they need Chris Kreider, J.T. Miller, and Kevin Hayes to step up. All three forwards had at least 49 points in the regular season. In the playoffs, the trio has combined for zero points.
The NHL playoff game between the Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers will be broadcast on NBCSN and CBC in Canada. Live streaming is available on NBC Sports, and CBC Sports which you can access with your cable or satellite, either online or through their app.
