Will Supernatural air its next episode tonight, or will fans have to wait a little longer for the last few episodes of season 12?
Alas, Supernatural has mysteriously taken another week off from airing a new episode of season 12. Although The CW hasn’t given a reason why, it seems as though the network might not have wanted to burn a fresh episode ahead of the H1Z1 tournament it’s airing in Riverdale‘s regular slot, per its schedule. (Yes, that means that there’s no new Riverdale tonight, either, which might disappoint those fans who like to watch their brothers Winchester and then Archie Andrews back to back.)
But though we may have to wait another week for some more Supernatural, that doesn’t mean we don’t know a little of what’s to come. According to TVGuide, the episode, which will air on April 27, is called “The Future.”
You can read the synopsis below:
"“Sam comes up with a way to stop Lucifer’s baby, but Castiel has something else in mind for Kelly; Dean is furious when he finds out someone stole the colt [sic]; Kelly makes a bold choice about the baby’s future.”"
Dare we suggest that Sam and Dean may have to have separate plotlines of their own for episode 19? Alas, as of this writing, we have no photos to confirm or deny either way when it comes to how the two of them will have to handle this episode. The loss of the Colt, though, should be big.
Additionally, The CW’s schedule confirms that instead, “Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell,” episode 15 of season 12, will air instead. It looks like the network has effectively been running old episodes all week. Alas, Supernatural isn’t immune. However, if you look at the schedule for the week of May 1, you can see that episode 20 will air that Thursday, May 4.

Is it too much to hope that Supernatural won’t have any more breaks before the season finale?
