Reported early this morning, Jeff Withey of the Utah Jazz has been accused of domestic violence by his ex-fiancee Kennedy Summers.

Summers filed a police report accusing Withey of this offense per TMZ Sports. Law enforcement in the California area confirmed the report was made on Tuesday, but it was not stemming from anything particular that happened recently. The reported incident occurred last year, but Summers did not file a report at the time and nobody was arrested.

With the NBA playoffs currently going on, the Utah Jazz will be heading to Los Angeles to continue their series with the Clippers, and that is what reportedly prompted Summers to file a report. Summers resides in California, and has reportedly been concerned for her safety and well-being now that Withey will be in a close proximity to her while his team travels close to the area.

Zack Teperman who is Summers representative was quoted saying “Given the ongoing circumstances, our client now needs to protect herself and come forward about everything so this doesn’t happen to her or others in the future.”

Withey and Summers have been together for a few years now according to TMZ Sports, and they have had plenty of ups and downs. They have even portrayed their issues on social media when Summers spoke about an incident in which Withey went out with another person.

The pair finally decided to go their separate ways in October of last year, which aligns with the report of when the allegations occurred. Withey’s representatives have not yet commented on the allegations, or the current ongoing investigations. The Jazz play their next game against the Clippers tomorrow night in Los Angeles, and there has been no word yet on if he will be suiting up and playing for his team.
