Russell Westbrook has NSFW response to stat line question after Game 2 loss to Rockets (Video)
By Jack Crosby
Following a heartbreaking loss to the Rockets in Game 2, Russell Westbrook was asked about his triple-double. Well, Brodie went full Brodie with his response.
The Oklahoma City Thunder and Houston Rockets battled in Game 2 of their NBA Playoffs series on Wednesday night, and once again Russell Westbrook had us all on the edge of our seats with his performance. The triple-double master churned out another one, finishing the game with 51 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists. It was truly an amazing sight to watch, as were all of his incredible triple-double efforts this past season.
You know what wasn’t amazing for Russ to watch, though? His team ultimately losing a heartbreaker to the Rockets, which now puts he and his team down 0-2 in the series as they head back to Oklahoma City.
Following the game, one reporter in the postgame press conference decided to ask Brodie about his stat line from the loss, and this is where people were reminded that maybe he’s not as selfish as some people think he is. Trust me, you can easily tell from the response he immediately gave to the man who asked the question.

Well, alright then. That’s pretty much that.
You can see the frustration in Westbrook’s face alone though, you don’t even need to hear him drop the F-bomb on live TV to have that point come across. He fought so hard all season long to lead this team to the playoffs following the loss of Kevin Durant, and now it very much looks as if their stay in the postseason will be short-lived. The Rockets simply look like the better team overall, and it probably wouldn’t shock many if the series ends in OKC.
But let this be a lesson to anyone who wants to ask Russ about his stats following a crucial loss, because he’s gonna put the team first and tell you how he really feels.
