Two teams have already moved on to the next round in the 2017 Stanley Cup playoffs, as we move closer to crowning a champion.

The Anaheim Ducks swept the Calgary Flames last night by a score of 3-1, and advanced to the next round of the playoffs. It didn’t take long for another team to join them as the Pittsburgh Penguins defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight by a score of 5-2 during Game 5 of their series.

Here is an updated look at the updated bracket as it stands now with the Penguins advancing:

The Ducks are waiting on the conclusion of the series between the Edmonton Oilers and the San Jose Sharks, as they are tied 2-2 coming into their matchup tonight. On the other side, the Penguins are waiting on the winner of the series between the Washington Capitals and the Toronto Maple Leafs, as their series is also tied at 2-2.

The playoffs have sure been full of some great stats and moments, and they have been dominated early on by the two teams who have clinched spots. Looking at the current playoff statistics, three players from the Penguins are pacing everyone with the most total points. Ducks goalie John Gibson currently leads the playoffs in most wins with three. Two players from the Ducks, and two players from the Penguins are currently leading the playoffs with a plus/ minus of six.

The Ducks and Penguins have both dominated in the playoffs so far, and it is no surprise to see players from both of their respective teams dominating the playoff leaderboards in almost every major category. With a few games left to go before the next round of the playoffs begin, it will be interesting to see which teams step up and give them a run for their money.
