The Chicago Bears had a rough season in 2016, and due to that, they find themselves picking in the top three in the 2017 NFL Draft. Heading into next season, big changes will be seen on the field, as former franchise quarterback Jay Cutler is no longer with the team. In his place, Mike Glennon will get the chance to prove that he can be a starting quarterback in the NFL, so the Bears will either be much better next season, or once again be at the bottom of the NFC North.

Glennon was signed to a three-year deal, although not much of his contract is guaranteed. In addition to Glennon, the Bears brought in Kendall Wright and Marcus Wheaton to play wide receiver, replacing the departed Alshon Jeffrey. Moves were definitely made to bolster the offensive side of the ball, which means the team will likely draft a defensive player with the third overall pick.

Jamal Adams is the most talented defensive back in this draft class, and he should be the team’s pick at third overall. He is the kind of safety that general managers drool over, as he is not only good in coverage, but he comes up and makes the big hit. Both he and fellow safety Malik Hooker should come off the board early on Thursday night, but there is no way the Bears pass on him if he falls to them at No. 3.
