1. The Boston Celtics

I feel bad for Boston. It is not all their fault. As bad as they might be playing, the Bulls are about as hot as any team could be at the right time. A healthy Dwayne Wade, a rejuvenated Rajon Rondo playing against his old team, and an all-NBA Jimmy Butler would be hard for any team to handle. The Celtics are not even playing that poorly. Sure, they are averaging 16 turnovers per game. They are only shooting 44 percent from the field, 34 percent from 3-point range, and 66 percent from the line. These are not winning formulas in the playoffs.

This is a team that went 30-11 at home this season. But, they only shot 46 percent from the field and 37 percent from 3-point range. They averaged 14 turnovers per game. So, on the surface, they are not playing exceedingly worse than they did in the regular season. What happened? Again, the Bulls are hot like fire. The Celtics also just do not look great. Further, the Celtics might actually not be as good as advertised. The harsh reality is that the Bulls learned how to play together in April. They fought hard for the No. 8 seed, and all the fighting seemed to work after what seemed like a lost season.

There have bene many disappointments in the 2016-17 NBA playoffs. From the Celtics going down 0-2 at home to Russell Westbrook sabotaging his team’s chances at a victory, the playoffs have excited. If Rudy Gobert and Kevin Durant come back healthy, at least we will have a fully healthy playoffs for the first time in ages. Losing a No. 1 seed happens in the first round about once every ten years, and the veteran Bulls are jelling at the right time. The Raptors scored 46 points through three-quarters in a game, which was pretty disappointing as well. The Spurs even lost! In a perfect world everyone could play up to their potential. Unfortunately, that’s not how things actually work.
