It’s starting to look like two quarterbacks will be selected in the top ten of the draft.

The first round of the 2017 NFL Draft is set to kick off this upcoming Thursday, April 27, but the picture around where the quarterbacks will be selected is cloudy at the moment.

There doesn’t seem to be a consensus top quarterback in this draft among draft experts and analysts. Many love Mitchell Trubisky, others love DeShaun Watson and others are starting to hop on Patrick Mahomes’ bandwagon as well.

The last two drafts have seen two quarterbacks get selected within the top five of the draft. This year could be slightly different.

NFL Network’s Charlie Casserly reported something intriguing he’s been passed on by a general manager.

This report seems to make some sense. The Buffalo Bills appear to be infatuated with Trubisky and have done a ton of homework on the young quarterback.

NBC Josh Norris released his latest mock draft with the Bills trading up with the Tennessee Titans for their fifth overall pick to secure Trubisky from the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns appear to also be Trubisky fans and have reportedly discussed moving up from No. 12 to the New York Jets’ sixth overall pick to steal him away from the Bills.

If all these reports are true, it would appear likely that the first quarterback off the board will be Trubisky. Casserly mentions he hears two quarterbacks going before the tenth selection and the likely suspects after Trubisky are Mahomes or Watson.

Apparently, Mahomes has been the name many have heard rising the most up draft boards.

The Arizona Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs are in the market for potential replacements for their aging starters in Carson Palmer and Alex Smith.

The Chicago Bears, whose selection is third overall, are also considering investing in one of these quarterback prospects as well, specifically Watson.

There’s also speculation that if the Browns cannot land Trubisky they’re also all in on Watson as a backup plan.

There appears there is going to be some quarterback movement at the top of the draft if these reports of interest are true. Some expected and some not as expected.
