We’re only two games into the Thunder/Rockets series, but Russell Westbrook already delivered the goods with a blistering fashion statement before Wednesday night’s Game 2.
Russell Westbrook and his deep love for fashion has been well-documented over the past handful of seasons and the guy has rarely, if ever, disappointed the masses.
Remember this special ensemble?
Russell Westbrook is high fashion, like really high fashion.

What a gift, as it basically encompasses it all when it comes to the constantly evolving, Russell Westbrook.
There’s honestly nowhere this man isn’t willing to go for the sake of fashion — and comedy.
Well, on Wednesday night before Game 2 against the Rockets, Russ showed up to the arena wearing a bandana, shades, a button-down shirt that turned out to require no buttons, and a pair of jeans that will soon help Mr. Triple Double decide which wallpaper to pepper his new billiards room with.

Based on the following opportune photo from ESPN’s Instagram, it appears as though Russ is leaning towards the color swatch at the top of his right leg, which absolutely feels like the wrong choice.
I gotta be completely honest here — that looks a lot more like the “generic doormat” route than it does the “edgy Russell Westbrook” rout. And that’s a real problem. But nonetheless, it’s important to appreciate that no ceiling exists when it comes to our hero’s wardrobe.
With the Thunder already in a 2-0 hole, our biggest fear should not be whether the Thunder advance to the second round, but rather the haunting possibility that OKC gets swept.
Such a depressing and unfortunate outcome would mean just two more nights of “what the the hell is Russ wearing?”
And that, my friends, is a lose-lose situation for quite literally everyone involved, including my own mother who most certainly does not follow the NBA, yet finds Russell Westbrook’s fashion decisions to be endlessly fascinating.
