Canadiens vs. Rangers live stream, Game 6: TV schedule, online and more
The Montreal Canadiens look to fight off elimination in Game 6 against the New York Rangers on Saturday, April 22. Here’s how you can watch.
After a surprising Game 5 loss, the Montreal Canadiens find themselves down 3-2 in their best-of-seven series against the New York Rangers. Mika Zibanejad scored in overtime to give the blue shirts the lead in the series. Now Montreal must wander into Madison Square Garden on Saturday for Game 6 and win to take the series back home for Game 7.
Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist has been outstanding this series. His defense hasn’t done him much good, allowing a lot of shots on goal. However, King Henrik has been up to the task and is playing like a Conn Smythe candidate thus far. Rick Nash has been clutch for the Rangers so far this series. While their offense is struggling, Lundqvist has made up for it.
Meanwhile, Montreal must solve King Henrik if they hope to extend the series. Carey Price has played slightly worse than Lundqvist, but in fairness, there’s no shame in that. Max Pacioretty hasn’t scored a goal all series. It would behoove him to score tonight, as his team needs offense. Montreal has a small window to win a Stanley Cup before Price and Pacioretty hit free agency, so they need to win Game 6 to keep this playoff run going.
