26. 1975-76 Milwaukee Bucks

Back before there were the amount of teams in the league that there are today, the playoff fields had five teams in each conference represented. The bottom two teams would play a three-game series for the right to play the top seed.

The 1975-76 Milwaukee Bucks were that forgotten team of old that didn’t even make it to the top seed. Instead, they lost in three games to the Detroit Pistons after they ended up winning the first game of the series.

What had to sting for the Bucks was the fact that they won the first game and lost the next two by a combined six points. Nonetheless, these two then Western Conference teams were just cannon fodder the defending champion Warriors were waiting on.

With less teams in the league, it meant playing the great teams a lot more. The 1976 Bucks certainly aren’t the worst playoff team ever but they were a bad one. That 38-44 record got them in but got them right out too.
