Bulls’ Robin Lopez with an unexpected assist
During Game 4 between the Chicago Bulls and the Boston Celtics, Bulls’ center Robin Lopez comes up with the unexpected assist.
After being up 2-0 in this best-of-seven series, the Chicago Bulls suddenly find themselves tied 2-2 with the Boston Celtics.
You know how the old saying goes, “The series doesn’t start till a home team loses.” Well in this series, it’s been “the series doesn’t start till a home team wins.”
The Bulls dropped Game 4 at home and haven’t been the same team since Rajon Rondo went down with a broken thumb.
He’s not due any time back soon, so Chicago will have to find answers elsewhere. Amidst the craziness of this series and the game, Bulls’ center Robin Lopez was assisting Celtics’ Jae Crowder.
No, not the assist that shows up on the box score. We’ve seen players un-tie opponent’s shoes to slow them down or trip them at the free-throw line, but this was on another level.
Since Lopez loses his shoe, I guess it’s okay to go ahead and intentionally un-tie Jae Crowder’s shoes, with the official standing right there.
Crowder immediately complained to the official to no avail.
On the official box score, it says Lopez didn’t have any assists, but really, they should add one for this play here.
Hoopla aside, the Bulls, led by Jimmy Butler’s 33 points, couldn’t over come Isaiah Thomas’ heroics down the stretch.
Thomas had 33 points and seven assists, with most of them coming in the last 17 minutes of the game.

The Celtics have tied the series 2-2, after being down 2-0, but it looks as if Robin Lopez isn’t doing them any favors in the process.
