Silicon Valley season 4 premiere: Watch online

Silicon Valley returns for an all new season tonight and we’ve got all the details you need to watch Silicon Valley’s premiere, “Success Failure,” online.

Richard — despite being crippled by insecurities and his on-again-off-again need for approval — just won’t give up on Pied Piper. Even if it has a stupid name. Even if the Chrome extension is hideous. He knows it’s a good algorithm, even if it’s implemented into video software.

According to Collider’s early review of the season, here’s what in store on this season of Silicon Valley:

"Season 4 starts with Pied Piper essentially dead after the user-buying scandal, and the company pivoting to their video-based PiperChat. But Richard (Thomas Middleditch) isn’t satisfied with this use of his compression algorithm, and even though the company is doing well Richard is still seen as poison among Silicon Valley VCs."

Apparently, the succeeding downward spiral leads to Dinesh and Gilfoyle’s insurgence. This then leads to Richard leaning into Gavin Belsen to form new a faction of nerds with semi-disposable income. But I gotta say, I’m over Richard’s competition with Gavin Belsen and everyone at Hooli. Gavin Belsen feels like a gnat that just won’t go away and I don’t find anything about him compelling.

Whereas I need Richard to succeed. Richard’s psychosis is one of the more fascinating aspects of the show, whether you’re into software or not.

Also, I’m really pro-Erlich, no matter what stupid scheme he talks his way into and proceeds to royally screw up. However, I wish the writers gave him something better to do that mess around with Big Head, because that wasn’t a character I missed either. I really just love the core group of guys at the think tank — just the Pied Piper gang really. And Monica.
