With the release of Injustice 2 drawing closer, DC is cranking up the excitement later this week.
May 16 is right around the corner, and with it comes the launch for Injustice 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to the fighting game by the Mortal Kombat folks, NetherRealm Studios, featuring a wide array of DC heroes and villains.
To ensure gamers and fans are as excited as they can possibly be, DC All Access is hosting a live stream that it says will be “full of celebrity, carnage and comics.” The special live episode will take place on Friday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Pacific time (otherwise known to us folks in the East as 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.).
As for the guest list, it ranges from one of the head honchos at DC Comics to a star from the Arrowverse to the godfather of NetherRealm fighting games. Here’s who DC days you can expect to see:
"In partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the Injustice 2 live stream will include special appearances by Echo Kellum, star of The CW’s Arrow, DC EntertainmentPublisher Jim Lee, Nerdist News host Jessica Chobot, Machinima host Chloe Dykstra, and legendary programmer and NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon, all to celebrate the forthcoming super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us. DC All Access personalities Jason Inman, Whitney Moore and Hector Navarro will host the event."
Naturally, gameplay footage and reveals will be part of the package as well. And to give it a proper comic book tie-in, Tom Taylor, writer of the Injustice 2 prequel comic, will also be on hand.

Injustice 2 is set to release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16.
