New Injustice 2 trailer introduces Brainiac

A new Injustice 2 trailer has dropped and it introduces the main villain, Brainiac. We get a look at his moves and his full appearance.

Injustice 2 is less than a month away, and every week, we learn a bit more about what to expect from the game. On Monday, a new trailer dropped, one that focuses on a familiar character. The main villain is Brainiac, and he’s the highlight of the new trailer. We saw glimpses of him in other pieces of footage, but this one officially introduces him.

The new trailer not only gives us the best look yet at what he’ll look like in the final build of the game, but it provides an idea of how he’ll be played in the game. Of course, every character has a different style of play, and not every one of them will fit with everyone’s style. Needless to say, he does look pretty cool and appears he’ll definitely be a ton of fun to play.

Known as a global threat, Brainiac is basically an alien cyborg genius with immense power. The official YouTube description gives a better idea of who he really is and what role he’ll play in the story:

"Brainiac is a megalomaniacal genius who roams the universe, collecting the knowledge to increase his intellectual and scientific prowess. Obsessed and establishing his superiority, Brainiac captured Krypton’s greatest cities, then eradicated what remained…or so he thought."

You can be sure that he’ll be a formidable foe in this game. We aren’t sure what exactly is going on, though, considering that a bunch of heroes have their own agendas as part of their own regimes. Regardless, it all seems interesting. It’s crazy that we’re talking about the story when this is primarily a fighting game.

Injustice 2 launches on May 16, 2017.
