A new leaked image about Call of Duty: WWII basically confirms a release date. The image also shows plans for a private beta.
With developer Sledgehammer Games gearing up for the worldwide reveal of Call of Duty: WWII on Wednesday, a bunch of rumors and leaks are popping up. Most recently, a new leaked image reveals a proposed release date, plans for a private beta, and various descriptions of what will be included in the game. Charlie INTEL provided the image, which you can see here.
First of all, the image basically confirms a Nov. 3 release date. It makes sense because most Call of Duty titles released the first week of November. We’re almost positive this is the release date and basically confirms earlier rumors and leaks.
Secondly, let’s touch more on the descriptions from the image. For one, there’s a game description. It explains how its returning to its roots via the World War II era. For example, you’ll be able to play in Normandy on D-Day, which is the days the U.S. army and allied troops invaded Germany.
Next up is the campaign description. Throughout the series, we’ve played through some very good campaign modes. Usually, the focus is on the multiplayer. We have played some great single-player campaigns throughout the series, though. We can expect something completely new with this campaign.
The multiplayer descriptions touches on how players will be able to visit iconic locations from WWII. We’re sure there will be some large maps, which will make for some realism with the gun battles. However, we’re also expecting relatively small maps for fast-paced action.

Lastly, the High-Octane Co-Operative mode. It sounds like a Spec Ops mode similar to the one found in Modern Warfare 2. However, some new additions will add an entirely new experience.
Make sure to tune into the worldwide reveal on Wednesday, April 26 at 1 p.m. ET.
