Dave Bautista has revealed that he hopes to play Mr. Hinx again, in Bond 25, according to a story in Metro UK.  In the report, filed by Nicholas Reilly, Bautista said, “Believe me we’re talking about it a lot. We’re waiting at home with our fingers crossed.”

A potential return to Bond comes with a catch, however: Daniel Craig would need to return, as well. “We’re waiting for the news to see if Daniel will sign up for Bond 25, because then there’s a chance that Hinx will come back,” Bautista explained.

This is not the first time a star from Spectre has voiced a return being dependent on Craig’s status. Last year, Christoph Waltz said that he would return for two more films, if Craig did also.

When movie audiences last saw Mr. Hinx, he had been thrown off a moving train. However, his death was only suggested and never confirmed. A return by Mr. Hinx would be similar to the one made by Jaws (Richard Kiel), in Moonraker. Jaws had presumably died at the end of The Spy Who Loved Me. In Moonraker, his role was expanded.

Mr. Hinx has already cheated death once before. During the Austrian chase scene, he went flying through the windshield of a Land Rover. Even Bond was convinced he was dead and left him there.

Bautista made his comments during an interview promoting his new film, Guardians of the Galaxy: V.2, in which he is reprising his role as Drax the Destroyer.
