The Charlotte Hornets will be rocking the Jordan Brand on their jerseys next season.

The Jordan logo has some sort of spell on basketball fans. When we see it, we just gravitate toward it. We want to take a good close look at the products so that we can imagine ourselves looking good while wearing it. Michael Jordan probably knows this (he absolutely knows it), so that’s why he is putting his brand’s logo onto the Charlotte Hornets’ jerseys next season.

According to the press release, the Hornets will be the only team whose jerseys will be supplied by Jordan Brand next season, while the other NBA teams will have their jerseys supplied by Nike.

Via NBA.com:

"The re-opening of the Hornets Fan Shop will coincide with the launch of the team’s new Jordan Brand uniforms as Nike becomes the NBA’s uniform provider beginning this season.  The Hornets will be the only team in the NBA wearing Jordan Brand uniforms, and with the agreement taking effect, the Hornets Fan Shop will have even more of the popular Jordan Brand Hornets merchandise than it has had previously."

If you didn’t already know, Jordan is the principal owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets. He is also the owner of Jordan Brand, which is a subsidiary company under Nike. So Jordan getting the NBA and Nike, who have an eight-year uniform supplier deal together, to let his brand supply uniforms for his team is a really smart business move and the logical thing to do.

But can his logo increase the team’s jersey sales? And, more importantly, will the Jumpman logo imbue the Hornets’ roster with Jordan’s basketball powers and elevate them into the top eight in the Eastern Conference? Let us know in the comments.
