The big question on the night was whether or not Rajon Rondo would be able to make his return for Game 5, after he got in some shots on Tuesday and said that he was preparing to play. However, he has since been declared out as the thumb just isn’t ready. The entire Bulls vs Celtics series swung when Rondo broke his thumb, as the Bulls offense went off a cliff and the Celtics were able to find life at home. The Bulls did find some semblance of normalcy in Game 4, though, after they inserted Isaiah Canaan into the line-up. We’ll see if Canaan is able to get the Bulls’ engine going against the Celtics tonight, beginning at 8:30 PM ET.
Working backwards through the night, the first game of the night pits the Hawks at the Wizards at 6:00 PM ET (make note of that time…it means line-ups lock an hour earlier than usual). This series is also tied two games apiece, but has been much more traditional with the home team winning every game so far. John Wall has been the clear “Man” for the Wizards, but they’ve gotten consistently strong contributions from Bradley Beal and Goran Dragic as well. On the Hawks side, Paul Millsap has stepped to the fore with Dennis Schroder as his main lieutenant but signs of life from Dwight Howard and Kent Bazemore as well. Should be a tough, pivotal Game 5 as the winner takes control of the series.
My favorite plays of the day can be found on the following slides in FanSided’s DraftKings daily picks. Each day in order to offer a variety of price points at each position, you can find two slides for each position–one for high-salary options and one for high-value options. Each pick is ranked on a scale of 1-5 stars to indicate the confidence in the pick. The final slide of this post has more detail on what each level means, but in short, more stars means more confidence in the selection on a points-per-dollar basis.
Important note, every day the goal of this post is not to give you a copy-and-paste lineup. Instead, each selection is given while highlighting the factors you need to consider when building a customized lineup for yourself. If you want to see an example lineup, you can find it on the final slide of the post, but I suggest you adjust your lineup to fit your personal taste.
