The Miami Dolphins have nine draft picks in the 2017 NFL Draft. Here’s an updated draft order for them.

After making the postseason in 2016, the Miami Dolphins have a pretty bright future. However, they still have a ways to go to catch up to the New England Patriots. That said, the Dolphins finally have an abundance of talent on their roster. They were able to keep a lot of their free agents, including Kenny Stills. However, now the Dolphins must continue to add talent and make sure their previous season isn’t a fluke.

Miami has eight picks in play for the draft. They would have had nine, but a trade for Julius Thomas sent a seventh round pick to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Still, eight picks is nothing to sneeze at. They have several key areas of need, but luckily, they can address these early. Miami must address their linebackers, as they were an Achilles’ heel for the 2016 team.

The Dolphins also need to add pass rushers because Cameron Wake won’t be around forever. Finally, in a barren guard draft, Miami has to find one. Here’s an updated draft order for the Miami Dolphins.

Round 1 – 22nd overall
Round 2 – 54th overall
Round 3 – 97th overall
Round 4 – 110th overall
Round 5 – 166th overall
Round 5 – 178th overall
Round 5 – 184th overall
Round 6 – 206th overall
Round 7 – 240th overall

Miami’s in a very good position. They have the currency necessary to move up in the draft if they really like a guy. It’s not like the Dolphins have a ton of needs, so if they see someone they love still available, don’t be shocked to see them make a bold move up. Miami’s definitely one of the teams to watch in the NFL Draft.
