The Washington Redskins look to improve their team through the 2017 NFL Draft. Here’s an updated draft order for the Redskins.
Going into the 2017 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins face a lot of questions. After an offseason filled with drama, they can get some clarity at the draft. So far in the offseason, they have dealt with questions about Kirk Cousins’ future with the Redskins and let go of an important front office figure in Scot McCloughan. Moreover, Washington lost two 1,000 yard receivers in DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon. However, they have since signed Terrelle Pryor.
Team president Bruce Allen and owner Dan Snyder have a lot of work to do if they want return to respectability. This could be their final season with Cousins as their quarterback. Surrounding him with the proper talent is one way to encourage him to stay.
Washington will look to add to both their offense and defense in the draft. They need to upgrade their secondary, especially at safety. Also, the Redskins could stand to upgrade their defensive line, especially after the departure of Chris Baker. Their offensive line could use some fortification as well. Expect the Redskins to be aggressive in the first few rounds, netting a pass rusher and a safety.
