Here are the results from Todd McShay’s final 2017 NFL Mock Draft.

Todd McShay of ESPN has released his final NFL Mock Draft for 2017. He’s one of the most highly respected draft guys around, and for good reason. McShay has an ability to read what other teams are thinking and has been remarkably accurate in the past. While he tends not to subscribe to the “best player available” strategy, his picks usually make sense and help fill needs. Here’s a look at his final mock draft, though it requires an ESPN Insider subscription.

The huge surprise is McShay has the Cleveland Browns selecting Mitchell Trubisky over Myles Garrett. While they are desperate to find a quarterback, it would be shocking if they picked him over the consensus number one pick. This is the kind of pick that would shake up the entire first round of the NFL Draft.

One of his most interesting picks is the Jacksonville Jaguars selecting Leonard Fournette with the fourth overall pick. While he’s arguably the best pure running back in the draft, his health issues are numerous. Also, Fournette has a very violent running style. While this worked wonderfully for Marshawn Lynch, it takes a toll on your body. For Fournette, it’s already starting to take a toll. But considering it’s a defensive draft and the Jaguars secondary is pretty much set for the future, taking the best running back could be the best option for them.

McShay also has the New Orleans Saints picking quarterback Patrick Mahomes in the first round. This could be a perfect fit for the young man. He gets to sit on the sidelines and watch one of the greatest quarterbacks ever to play the game (Drew Brees). There likely won’t be an awkward Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers relationship between them because the veteran knows he’s nearing the end of his career. The NFL Draft starts on Thursday at 8:00 p.m.
