DraftKings NBA Picks April 27
We are down to just two games tonight as the Warriors swept the Blazers. The Rockets also made short work of Russell Westbrook and the 11 dwarves. The DraftKings player pool is dwindling even further, which makes it harder for us to get separation. Who can help us tonight? Where can we get some separation from the pack? Let’s take a look!

The money line was down just a bit to 254.25. My lineup was done it by Kent Bazemore and Jose Calderon being non-factors in the Hawks Game 5 loss. It also didn’t help that Jimmy Butler was waaaaay below value in the Bulls’ loss at home. The road team has won every game in that series!
As is common with these small slates, there was a five-way tie for first place. Not all of them had the same lineup! One even did it without John Wall, proving there is more than one way to win these things. The constants in those lineups were Dwyane Wade, Dennis Schroder, and Bradley Beal.

PG: Mike Conley ($8,600): Conley keeps putting up good numbers against the Spurs. Be it in San Antonio or Memphis, it hasn’t mattered. His worst game of the series was Game 3 in Memphis when he played only 34 minutes due to Memphis having a pretty good lead. Conley is back home for a do-or-die Game 6. He should have a big game tonight.
SG: Vince Carter ($4,100): Some of you are too young to remember when Vinsanity took hold in Toronto nearly 20 years ago. Carter is a shadow of his former self, but he has adapted to what the Grizzlies need and what his body can do. The result has been a series full of solid contribution from Carter. The options at SG on this slate are terrible. I refuse to pay that much for a streaky DeMar DeRozan, so I will try to squeeze some value out of Vince. Of course, this means Vince will have below ten DraftKings points and DeRozan will have his best game of the playoffs, so draft accordingly!
G: Tony Parker ($4,900): It’s playoff time, so the aging Spurs are shedding their walkers and getting up and down the court again. Manu Ginobili hit some key shots in Game 5. Tony Parker has exceeded 5x value in all but one game – the game that I used him in. So I guess that means buyer beware.
UTIL: Norman Powell ($5,500): Powell has been a force since Toronto inserted him into the starting lineup in Game 4. He has 70.5 DraftKings points over those two games, which makes him a huge bargain right now. Or it means he’s going to bust the 60% of us that play him.

SF: Giannis Antetokounmpo ($10,300): Giannis is one of the few players left in the first round that qualifies as a superstar. He is going to have to be to keep the Bucks alive and force a Game 7. Surprisingly, his best three games of the series were all in Toronto. He needs to reverse that trend to get back there!
PF: Serge Ibaka ($6,500): Of course, the one game that I recommended Ibaka, he was awful. His minutes have been down over the last three games, but he has produced when he has been in there over the last two games. Ibaka was a force in Game 5. He will need to be again.
C: Thon Maker ($3,800): Maker is gradually earning a few more minutes here and there, and is now playing half the game. Predictably, his output has increased little by little. Greg Monroe was a bust in Game 5. I don’t know if he will be in Game 6 or not, but I will take the consistent output of Maker and take the scorer Milwaukee needs to win.
F: Khris Middleton ($6,300): Middleton will play in this game unless he is physically unable to get out of bed. The Bucks need his scoring alongside Giannis to force a Game 7. He fought through the illness to play 36 minutes in what was a disastrous Game 5 for Milwaukee. Look for him to have more of an impact tonight.
