A Philadelphia Eagles fan says he’s responsible for making sure it was a bad start to the day for ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

To put it lightly, it’s well documented that fans of the Philadelphia Eagles can be a fickle bunch. Whether it’s bombarding former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jimmy Johnson with snowballs or booing Santa Claus, they’re not adhering to an unspoken code of conduct other fan bases observe.

That passion may have reared its ugly head this morning at a Philadelphia area Starbucks. With the NFL Draft just hours away, ESPN’s Adam Schefter hit a store to fuel up for what is sure to be a long day. Schefter reports that for the first time in a decade, disaster ensued.

If you’re to believe one tweeter, that was no innocent mistake. A little more than an hour later an Eagles fan was quick to take credit for the sabotage levied against the ESPN NFL analyst.

Given the history of behavior from Philadelphia fans, it’s entirely plausible that an Eagles fan would pull such a stunt and showcase the event on social media. I for one, very much want to believe that it’s true. Jane Slater of the NFL Network has a solution for Schefter, though. Switch up the order. Dump the coffee and order a drink with more “sparkle.”
