I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news. (Word to Bad News Barrett.) The go-home edition of RAW before WWE Payback this Sunday wasn’t very good. Thankfully, SmackDown Live picked up some of the slack on Tuesday night. Here’s this week’s pre-Payback edition of the FanSided WWE Superstar Power Rankings.
Here’s the good news for RAW after WWE Payback this Sunday night: it can’t get much worse than it was this past Monday.
Here’s the bad news for SmackDown Live: you suspended Baron Corbin for a week and that’s just something I will not allow to happen because Barry Corbin is a good man.
With WWE Payback just a couple of days away, the final week of shows on the main roster went in completely different directions.
RAW was Braun Strowman locking Kalisto in a dumpster after a disappointing match and shoving him off a stage that’s three feet off the ground, a weird twist in a six-man tag team match with a finish to be talked about and a main event with a finish that made absolutely no sense.
Like usual, SmackDown Live was the better show this week. We had the formation of a new women’s stable, the top performers on the show put together a fun match/segment and Jinder Mahal literally stole the WWE Championship. (He’s not the champion, but the title belt is his. Don’t worry. I’ll explain because it ruled.)
Before I spoil too much here, let’s get into this week’s rankings, starting with Big Banter himself.
(Disclaimer: The wrestlers chosen for this power rankings list only appear on Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live, so that means no NXT/205Live specific stars are on this list.)
