Cowboys legend Drew Pearson trolled the Philadelphia fans as he announced Dallas’ second-round pick at the NFL Draft, and didn’t get the best reaction.

Drew Pearson, one of the Dallas Cowboys’ all-time great wide receivers, had a little fun with the Philadelphia crowd at the second round of the NFL Draft on Friday night.

Just hours after commissioner Roger Goodell got booed for the second night in a row by the Philly faithful, Pearson came out to announce the Eagles’ rival’s second round pick: Chidobe Awuzie out of Colorado.

As he stepped to the podium, the Cowboys legend received a hearty amount of boos from the fans in attendance, and stepped to the plate to deliver a few jabs at the Eagles fans in the house.

“How about them Cowboys?” Pearson started as he stepped to the microphone. “I want to thank the Eagle fans for allowing me to have a career in the NFL. Thank you!”

Pearson stated how he was an undrafted free agent, and went on to have extreme success as a wide receiver for the Cowboys in the 1970s, and made sure to take more digs at the Eagles and their fans.

The 1970’s All-Decade team member made sure to mention the Cowboys five titles, and showed respect to Hall of Fame owner Jerry Jones and the rest of the Jones family and Cowboys organization. Jones had inducted Pearson into the team’s Ring of Honor in 2011, and Pearson made sure to bring the family up in his presentation.

Pearson showed his appreciation for the Cowboys and their fans on Twitter shortly after he announced the pick with a tweet showing his support for Cowboys Nation.

Pearson is one of the best to ever play in Dallas, with his number 88 reserved for the best of the best in the Cowboys receiving corps, like Hall of Famer Michael Irvin, and currently Dez Bryant.
