DraftKings NBA Picks April 28

There are actually three games tonight, and they all could be elimination games. Who will have a big game trying to force a Game 7? Let’s try and figure this thing out!

More from DraftKings

The money line was down a ways to 240.25. I missed it by one freaking point! Thanks, Norman Powell!

There was only one winner tonight. He had Giannis and Kawhi Leonard as a base, and the 50 from DeMar DeRozan made the difference. Choosing Patrick Patterson over Norman Powell definitely helped him.

PG:Ā Dennis Schroder ($8,000): Schroder had a big game in the Game 5 loss on Wednesday. With the exception of Game 3, Schroder has had an outstanding series. He is well worth his price here. I would bank on him hitting 50 before Wall tonight, so I’m going to save a little cash and spend elsewhere.

SG: Rodney Hood ($4,100): Hood has hit some huge shots over the last two games to help Utah take control of the series. After being mostly a non-factor in the first three games, Hood has 56.25 DraftKings points in the last two games. He seems to have found his shot, and his minutes have increased as a result. Hood should be right around 6-7x value again tonight, which would make him a must play if he weren’t so streaky.

G: Dwyane Wade ($7,200):Ā If the Bulls are going to have Wade running the point for most of the game again, I’m all in! Wade had a meltdown near the end of Game 5, but I doubt that affects what he did in the first 45 minutes of the game. The only thing that would affect this is if Rajon Rondo suddenly became available. I will fade Paul and ride the strong play of Wade and Schroder.

UTIL: Isaiah Canaan ($4,300):Ā The Bulls ran like a well-oiled machine with Wade running the ball and Canaan shooting. He dropped in 16 points in Game 5, but had little other contribution. For me, he is slightly more reliable than Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. There is definitely more upside!

Ā SF: Joe Johnson ($5,600): Who is this masked man? They assure us that it’s still Joe Johnson, though he is playing more like the Atlanta version than the Utah version. Johnson has turned back the clock and racked up 75.25 DraftKings points over the last two games. Johnson is taking and making more shots lately. Utah will need him to have another big game to win the series at home.

PF: Gordon Hayward ($7,900): Heyward only played nine minutes in Game 4 because of illness, but he was back with a vengeance in Game 5. He’s fine, thank you. Hayward has been a huge factor in the series lately when healthy. Remember that he racked up 60.75 DraftKings points in Game 3 when the series moved to Salt Lake City. He could be in for another big game.

C: Al Horford ($7,400):Ā Horford has at least 42 DraftKings points in each of the last three games after a relatively quiet start to the series. The Bulls obviously can’t handle him up front. That is a trend that wont change. Taj Gibson isn’t walking back in that door anytime soon. Unless the seriously bulk up Nikola Mirotic by tonight, Horford is going to have another game in the mid-40’s.

F: Otto Porter ($5,500):Ā You know, I built a nice, solid lineup and had it ready to go. I wasn’t going to take any risks. Well, forget that. You don’t win, especially on short slates, without taking risks. Washington is going to be thin up front without Ian Mahinmi. Jason Smith is still questionable, and he will do everything he can to play, but if he does, I doubt he is 100%. Porter should get plenty of action up front. He performed well in Game 5. Can he show some consistency in this series?
