Keys to victory

Clippers: A vital key to victory in Game 5 was the emergence of a secondary scorer after Chris Paul. J.J. Redick stepped up with 26 points, and it was almost enough for Los Angeles to secure the victory. Small changes may be made in advance of Game 6.  Austin Rivers may be in line for more minutes and smaller lineups may see extended run. Rivers, along with Redick and Jamal Crawford, will be given more scoring opportunities on the perimeter. DeAndre Jordan needs to outplay Rudy Gobert in the paint to secure a win as well. Coach Doc Rivers will need his team to push the tempo and play in control to take this game.

Jazz: Different players stepped up for Utah in their victories in Games 4 and 5. Joe Johnson, Joe Ingles, Rodney Hood, Rudy Gobert and Gordon Hayward all outplayed expectations in those key wins. But both were close games that weren’t decided until the end; all players will need to step up to close this series. Winning the rebounding battle and making this a half court game will be important in Utah’s success. They obviously prefer to close out this series at home rather than return to Los Angeles for a Game 7.
