Day 2Ā of the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia will be on Friday evening. Here is a list of all the upcoming picks in the second round.
The first round of the 2017 NFL Draft was an exciting one. We saw three teams move up to draft their next franchise quarterback. Three wide receivers went in the top nine of what we all though was going to be a defensive-minded first round. The Browns moved back into the first round to garner a third selection on Thursday night.
However, Day 2Ā is where the NFL Draft for some teams are won and lost. Can a team extract elite talent in the second and third rounds? The players going in these two rounds on Friday night should be immediate impact players at the next level. If NFL teams arenāt drafting starting-level players in these two rounds, then what are they doing?
Teams like the Green Bay Packers, the Los Angeles Rams, the Minnesota Vikings and the Seattle Seahawks will be making their first picks of the draft in round two. Los Angeles and Minnesota traded away their first round picks in this draft to get a quarterback in 2016.
Green Bay and Seattle opted to move out of the first round to accumulate other draft assets. Interestingly, these two NFC powers will have be picking No. 33 and No. 34 on Friday night. Green Bay moved back in a deal with the Cleveland Browns. Seattle moved back twice, once with the Atlanta Falcons and then with the San Francisco 49ers. Both of these NFC playoff teams seem to know what they are doing.
New England will not have a second-round pick either in this draft. The Patriots traded away their second-round pick to the Carolina Panthers for Kony Ealy this past spring. Here is a list of all 32 picks that are coming up in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

We should expect movement in round two as well. Carolina could use that No. 64 overall pick from New England or their own second-round pick at No. 40 to do something interesting. The Panthers have already made a solid selection in drafting Stanford Cardinal running back Christian McCaffrey at No. 8 on Thursday night.
