Roger Goodell received heat immediately for the second night in a row at the NFL Draft as he came out to announce the night’s picks.
Just 24 hours after experiencing a not-so-pleasant reaction from the Philadelphia faithful at the NFL Draft, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell got hit with the boos for the second night in a row.
As Goodell came out to the podium to start the second round of the draft, the fans in attendance showered the commissioner with the same rowdy welcome as the event’s opening night.

Goodell, attempting to add some humor to the situation in an attempt to calm the fans down to read the picks for the night, but it almost inspired more boos from the Philly fans.
“Alright, just one second. Just one second and you can resume your booing,” Goodell pleaded from the fans, which earned him a few chuckles from one or two fans as the jeers continued.
During his appearance at the podium last night, Goodell was attempting to ask for the fans to give him more as they booed him for the first time of the multiple-day event.
Just like the Masters, Goodell getting booed at the NFL Draft is a tradition unlike any other, as the unpopular ruler of the league rarely is welcomed anywhere he goes by fans. Whether it’s displeasure about penalties for excessive celebrations, the extreme/not extreme enough suspensions in some cases, or rule changes over the years, Goodell’s work has not been appreciated.

For now, the Philly draft has met almost everyone’s expectations, as the fanbase is one of the most passionate in the league. It’s safe to say Goodell may rethink the decision to come out to Philadelphia for the draft after this year’s event is over thanks to the cheerful welcome from the fans.
