It’s never too early to look into the future. When is the 2018 NFL Draft?

The 2017 NFL Draft is just about complete. Teams have improved or hurt their futures with picks. Fans already can’t wait for the 2018 NFL Draft. It should prove to be a deep one, perhaps even better than the 2017 version. While the 2018 draft doesn’t have an official location confirmed, what is known is it will be held from April 26 to April 28.

Unlike this year, next year’s draft should feature some excellent quarterbacks. Sam Darnold from USC and Josh Rosen from UCLA could be the first and second overall picks depending on which teams are picking. Saquan Barkley, a running back from Penn State, could easily go in the top five. This year’s draft had a lot of defensive talent, but an early look at the 2018 draft suggests it will be an offense heavy one.

The location of next year’s draft should be confirmed within the next few months. According to Roger Goodell, 14 cities are bidding.

"“Other cities are obviously watching,” said the NFL commissioner, via NFL.com. There are 14 here and we’re going to raise the bar. So I think the bids will change in the next couple of weeks.”"

One of them is allegedly Dallas. This would make a lot of sense for both parties. The Dallas Cowboys would get a chance to show off their fancy new stadium while the NFL would get a city fully prepared to take on a ton of traffic and attention.

Another possibility could be a return to New York or Chicago. However, the NFL has shown they’re exploring new venues. On the other hand, few cities can handle the draft as perfectly as New York and Chicago. A repeat return to Philadelphia isn’t out of the question.
