Phoenix Grand Prix live stream: Watch IndyCar online
Can Team Penske get their second straight Verizon IndyCar win at Phoenix? Here’s how you can watch the Phoenix Grand Prix live, on TV and online.
Will Team Penske be able to get their second consecutive Verizon IndyCar Series win in the Arizona desert? Or will another unexpected team once again bump IndyCar’s powerhouses off the top step of the podium?
The 2017 Desert Diamond West Valley Phoenix Grand Prix once again features Penske drivers at the front of the grid. Helio Castroneves and Will Power locked out the front row in qualifying and teammates Josef Newgarden and Simon Pagenaud are also in the Top 5.
But the team only has one race win so far this year. The other two have gone to smaller teams, and there’s another two-car team biting at their heels in Phoenix. Ed Carpenter Racing’s JR Hildebrand slid into the third spot easily, and Hildebrand can pull off great performances on oval tracks, such as his impressive run at last year’s Indianapolis 500. Could he surprise and get his first win in his first season back full-time in IndyCar?
Last year’s race winner (and last week’s runner-up) Scott Dixon is still in contention, too, earning himself a solid qualifying position. Chip Ganassi Racing are looking for their first win since moving to Honda and Phoenix is a place where Dixon could easily make it happen. So this is not a race that you want to miss out on.
