Here are the casters, analysts and hosts calling the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive action when CSGO comes to Australia for this weekend’s IEM Sydney.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive fans are hyped up for this weekend’s IEM Sydney, which will be the first major CSGO tournament held in Australia. Given the significance tournament organizer ESL has brought the big guns in to call the action.
The official Intel Extreme Masters Twitter account has revealed the complete lineup of casters, analysts and hosts who will be working at IEM Sydney and it’s impressive.
Casting the weekend’s matches are two strong duos that each have their own appeal. Matthew “Sadokist” Trivett and Henry “HenryG” Greer are CSGO‘s version of an old married couple. Meanwhile, Lauren “Pansy” Scott and Jason “Moses” O’Toole will bring a metric ton of dry wit to each of their games.
If you only know Moses from his analyst work with ELEAGUE, you’ve been missing out because he’s also a tremendous caster. (You can also get to know him better in our interview here.)
The IEM Sydney desk will be overseen by Mitch “Uber” Leslie. He’ll be joined at various points by a trio of other men with fabulous hair: Chad “SPUNJ” Burchill, Iain “Snyper” Turner and Janko “YNk” Paunovic. If we’re lucky, maybe YNk will give us more of the Serbian commentary he did for the recent cs_summit.
OJ Borg will serve as the on-stage host and master of ceremonies, while Miles Ross will be your reporter at large.
While it’s not everyone that Counter-Strike fans would like to invite to the party, the talent roster for IEM Sydney is pretty deep. The two casting duos have plenty of personality and experience, and both just broadcasted the previous IEM tournament in Katowice in February.
Likewise, Sydney will have the same stage host and two of the same three analysts, while Mitch Leslie was in Katowice as the reporter and will now take over as desk host. So if you enjoyed the broadcasts from IEM Katowice you’ll get more of the same CSGO stylings in Sydney.
That’s not including the fact that IEM Sydney’s competitors lineup represents most of the best Counter-Strike in the world, including teams like Astralis, SK Gaming and FaZe Clan. Although since Virtus.pro is not among the eight squads playing, we won’t have another moment like this:
