Lucifer returns with season 2 episode 14, “Candy Morningstar.” Here’s what you need to know to watch Lucifer on TV and online.

When last we saw the charismatic Lucifer Morningstar, he had left Los Angeles after saving Chloe’s life. He was still under the impression that everything that had ever happened to him when it comes to Chloe had been orchestrated by his father.

Lucifer’s return to Los Angeles after his absence will likely be met with questions from his friends. Will it be business as usual, or will Lucifer find himself on the outs with his friends after leaving them with no explanation. And who is his mysterious lady friend?

Here’s the episode synopsis for “Candy Morningstar”:

"After cutting off all contact from his family and the police department, Lucifer returns to help solve an up and coming guitarist’s murder; Lucifer has a new woman in his life."

The big question at this point is whether or not Lucifer will be able to let go of the fact that his father intervened in his life, to the point that he helped with Chloe’s conception. It’s an example of predestination vs. tabula rasa, where Lucifer is stuck wondering how much of his life had been planned out by his father or whether he alone is responsible for his own actions.

Lucifer is finally back and it’s time to see where he has been since leaving Los Angeles. It’s worth noting that Lucifer was renewed for season 3, so fans can rest assured that whatever happens in the second half of the season will continue seamlessly into the following season.
