Nintendo has released the first set of details for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC pack. It includes a new Hard Mode, new armor and much more.

It’s still very early in the year, but The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may be the best game of 2017. After spending countless hours playing the game, we’ve realized that there’s still so much more to do. Well, now Nintendo is adding even more to the game via DLC Pack 1. We knew the developers were creating an expansion pack, but not many details were revealed. On Monday, we got our first look at what will be included with the first batch of DLC, thanks to the official Zelda website.

First up, the Trial of the Sword. In the game, when you travel to a sacred location, you’ll now have the option of doing this challenge. Similar to the Cave of Ordeals in Twilight Princess, you’ll battle waves of enemies. You won’t have your equipment, though. So, you’ll have to clear all 45 rooms and at the end, the Master Sword becomes very powerful.

Another addition is the Hero’s Path mode. Basically, depending on all the places you’ve walked through in Hyrule, the new map will highlight the path of your last 200 hours of gameplay. It seems like a cool addition since it’ll narrow down the places you’ve already been to and will show you other areas that have yet to be explored. We’re sure there’s quite a few.

Breath of the Wild is the first game not to include a Hard Mode. We understand, though, since the game is already very challenging from the start. However, Hard Mode will be making its way to the game with this DLC pack. All enemies are much stronger in various ways. For example, they regain health over time and Red Bokoblins will be Blue Bokoblins, which are slightly bigger and stronger.

A new item known as the Travel Medallion will be available as well. You’ll have to find it. But with it, you can create yet another fast travel point, which definitely comes in handy.

Finally, more armor. This is easily our favorite feature for this upcoming expansion pack. Nintendo instantly had us when they showed that we would be able to wear Majora’s Mask. Not only that, but we can also rock Midna’s helmet, the Phantom armor, and Tingle’s outfit. It all looks so awesome. Also, if you haven’t gathered all the Korok seeds, there will be a Korok mask that will make that tasks lightly easier.
