Blue Jays manager pranks radio station

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons, prank called a radio station after the team’s win Monday night against the New York Yankees.
Blue Jays skipper John Gibbons prank called a post game radio show in Toronto, after his team defeated the Yankees 7-1 on Monday night. The Toronto radio host Mike Wilner, had been challenging Gibbons over the last few games, and was criticizing the manager on who he should start at catcher.
Gibbons kept his alias hidden, and Wilner asked him if it was “John from the Bronx”, indicating how many prank callers he usually receives. It was all in good fun, and Wilner didn’t realize who it was right off the bat. Wilner was asked on twitter and he acknowledged it with this answer:
After making the post season for two straight seasons, many expected the Blue Jays to continue a high level of play this season. Well, that hasn’t been the case as Toronto has had a slew of injuries to some of their key players, and have stumbled out of the gate to a 9-17 record.

There is still reason for optimism though as it is still only the beginning of May, and there is a lot of baseball left. The Blue Jays have also won three straight games, and finally look to be finding some sort of consistency from their team. It was also reported today that Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki could return from their injuries during the teams next homestand.
Toronto would definitely welcome them back with open arms, as they are some of the teams best bats. The Blue Jays will continue their current series with the Yankees tonight in New York.
