NFL free agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick helps those in need in New York.

Throughout the duration of the 2016-17 NFL season, Colin Kaepernick dominated headlines for his outspokenness on America’s race issue and his kneeling during the national anthem.

Whatever your stance on his actions, Kaepernick couldn’t stay away from the news. Now a free agent, Kaepernick is still making headlines.

The quarterback was spotted handing out suits to fellow job seekers in New York City.

Kaepernick continues his charity work for the needy by assisting those in need of a job by handing out free suits outside of a New York parole office.

This comes just weeks after garnishing no interest from NFL teams during the opening of free agency.

Since taking a strong stance on social justice issues during his time with the 49ers last season, Kaepernick has begun to participate in more public charity work.

The 29-year-old began logging his charity donations on his website for the world to see.

It is estimated that Kaepernick has donated upwards of $500,000 since the offseason began.

Kaepernick, who appeared in 12 games last season, posted a 90.7 quarterback rating with the 49ers.

However, despite throwing 16 touchdowns to four interceptions, the 49ers released Kaepernick due to negative and unwanted media attention. The free agent has since vowed to quit kneeling during the Star-Spangled Banner.
