Jamaal Charles has spent his entire NFL career in the AFC West, and he may continue that trend as a member of the Denver Broncos.
Jamaal Charles was a two-time Pro Bowl running back for the Kansas City Chiefs, establishing himself as one of the best backs in the history of the franchise. The Chiefs let Charles walk after last season, as he just could never get healthy enough to perform after tearing his ACL in 2015. Charles is still looking for a job, and on Tuesday, he will visit AFC West division rival Denver.
The Indianapolis Colts had eight picks in the 2017 NFL Draft, and none of them were spent on a wide receiver. On Monday, the Colts added to their wide receiving corps via free agency, signing former Arizona Wildcats wideout Trey Griffey. Griffey is the son of former Major League All-Star Ken Griffey Jr., who was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame this past summer. The younger Griffey caught 32 balls for the Wildcats last season, scoring twice.
Staying with the NFL Draft, it must have been an embarrassing night for current Chicago Bears starting quarterback Mike Glennon. Glennon was invited to the Bears draft party, only to see his team trade away the farm to select North Carolina quarterback Mitchell Trubisky at No. 2. Glennon is the obvious starter going into next season, but you have to believe that he is not going to play out the three-year deal he signed with the team this offseason.
Speaking of quarterbacks, the Minnesota Vikings declined to pick up the fifth-year option on Teddy Bridgewater Monday. Bridgewater, who was once viewed as the future of the franchise, blew up his knee in a non-contact injury last preseason. To replace him, the team went out and traded for Sam Bradford, who now looks to be the team’s long-term answer at the quarterback position. Bridgewater appears to be healing from his devastating injury, but there is no word as to whether he will ever be the player he once was.

Finally, when the Oakland Raiders selected Gareon Conley with the No. 24 overall pick, it certainly turned a lot of heads. In the weeks leading up to the NFL Draft, Conley was accused of raping a woman in a downtown Cleveland hotel, which he has denied. He met with police on Monday, and it will be at least six-to-eight weeks before they even decide whether or not they are going to pursue charges against the former Ohio State Buckeye.
