Lonzo Ball’s first signature shoe will cost $495. For that price, they better come with some extra bells and whistles. Here’s what the Big Baller Brand debut kicks should do for that price.
Lonzo Ball is making history for being the first NBA Draftee to come into the NBA Draft with an independent signature shoe, as reported on Thursday by Slam. Although Lonzo gets a lot of grief, most of it over some of the things his father, LaVar Ball, has said, the shoes actually look pretty good!

You may be thinking: wow, those are some sharp shoes! I would gladly pay somewhere between $100 and $250 for them, which is a reasonable price for signature shoes for the most part.
Well, don’t think those things. $250 gets you exactly one ZO2 Prime — not one pair, one shoe. Lonzo’s first foray into the shoe world is a clean-looking shoe that costs $495. No, that’s no typo, and it’s actually for the low-end version of the first ZO2 shoes.
The ZO2: WETs cost a shocking $995. They come in a fancy box with LED lighting and are personally autographed by Lonzo Ball himself. Also available are the ZO2: The Signature Slides. They are adjustable slides that are, according to the Big Baller Brand website, “for the Culture.” They cost $220.
None of these footwear products are available quite yet, and according to the site they’ll ship on Nov. 24 of this year if purchased. We can’t review the shoes, on account of them not being released and also because we can’t really afford them, but here are some ideas on what they should do, considering the hefty price tag of the BBB kicks.
