DraftKings NBA Picks May 4

We have two more conference semifinals for our DraftKings tournament tonight with two more Game 2’s on schedule. We have a lot of high priced players to choose from. How many can we roster and still get value from value players? Let’s put something together!

More from DFS

Yesterday the money line was down to 242.75 DraftKings points. My night was undone by James Harden underperforming and a horrible night from P.J. Tucker.

The winning lineup was alone at 311 tonight. He survived a subpar night from Harden and had LeBron. What really set him apart was 35 from 2.6% owned Cory Joseph and 28.25 from 5.1% owned Channing Frye.

PG: John Wall ($10,600): Wall was great for three quarters in Game 2, but fell silent as his counterpart dominated the fourth quarter and overtime. Still, Wall put up a huge game with 76.25 DraftKings points. He was better at home in the first round against Atlanta. Will this trend continue? If it does, Wall could have another monster in him tonight.

SG: Rodney Hood ($3,900): Hood got a few open shots in Game 1, but the real reason I am going with Hood is because he was better than both Joe Ingles and Joe Johnson in Game 1. If the Warriors have any kind of weakness, it’s defending the perimeter shot. I’m hoping Hood gets enough to keep him around 20 DraftKings points or so.

G: Isaiah Thomas ($9,600): Thomas scored an astonishing 29 points in the 4th quarter and overtime in Game 2. He is playing out of his mind right now, and this team has rallied around him. His teammates being there for him in his time of need have brought this team closer together. As a result, they are playing better as a team than anyone besides maybe the Warriors right now. Bet against them, especially Thomas, at your own risk.

SF: Jae Crowder ($6,000): Crowder has 72.25 DraftKings points in the first two games of this series. That goes right along with his season average against Washington, so there isn’t any reason he wont continue his strong play. Crowder has little upside, but he is a solid 5x value or more.

PF: Otto Porter ($5,800): Porter has played 79 minutes in the first two games of this series. Even with Markieff Morris back and playing well, Porter was still on the court shooting and rebounding. He is one of the better mid-range values out there in the playoffs. It doesn’t look like Porter is going to slow down anytime soon.

F: David West ($3,300): West has been a solid play in the playoffs so far. He has at least 16 DraftKings points in each of the last four games, which makes him a solid 5x value. He has topped 20 in the last two games, and dished out an impressive seven assists against the Jazz in Game 1. If this game goes as we think it will, West should get plenty of playing time down the stretch.

C: Draymond Green ($8,100): I was going to go with Al Horford here. He is having a great post-season, but Draymond Green is more consistent. Horford has a little more upside, but Green has at least 44 DraftKings points in every playoff game. I’ll take that kind of certainty in my lineup when going for a win!

UTIL: Zaza Pachulia ($2,600): JaVale McGee has been the trendy bargain pick, but Pachulia has outscored him by a pretty large margin over the last two games. Neither of them play a lot of minutes, but Pachulia seems to be a little bit safer right now, which is nice since he is $500 cheaper.
