Forgive us for being easily distracted, but we at Fastbreak Breakfast (actually just me, your humble narrator) still prefer 12 borderline-meaningless games on a Wednesday night in November to the slow slog through the second round of the NBA Playoffs. Certainly the games mean more now, but I can’t trick myself into being more interested. As everyone else tunes in to make LeBron James and Steph Curry postseason memories, my eyes glaze over as I dream of Orlando Magic rebuilds and ways to free Brandon Knight.

However, with a deep abiding professionalism, I wait until the games are over (or at least out of hand) before diving into the newest seasons of VEEP, Silicon Valley or Fargo. And with my commitment to you, dear NBA podcast listener, here’s a brand new episode of Fastbreak Breakfast. Despite the second round being secretly boring.
