LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers just finished crushing the Toronto Raptors 115-94. After the game, James offered rap superstar Drake margaritas to celebrate.

It’s a well-known fact within the pop culture spectrum that Drake is an avid sports fan. Drake, the superstar rapper hailing from Toronto, Canada, makes the Toronto Raptors a priority, often attending their home games. He’s even the Global Ambassador for the Raptors and has made “The 6” synonymous with referring to Toronto.

Hence, why he calls himself the “6 God.”

The Raptors are currently embroiled in a second-round series against the defending NBA champions, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Cavs star player LeBron James has made it no mission to slow down, scoring 35 points in tonight’s 115-94 win against the Raptors.

With the Cavaliers up 3-0 against the Raptors, it appeared James wanted to salvage the moment after the game. What better way to do that than to offer Drake margaritas on Cinco de Mayo? James asked Drake his evening plans and offered margaritas as his treat. Not sure if Drake should be offended or feel special, but knowing him, he will probably roll with the latter.

It is a good sign to see the two very famous men with a mutual respect for each other. One man is considered one of the greatest basketball players ever. The other, polarizing, but will go down as one of the most popular and versatile musical acts ever. It wasn’t easy for the two to reach their pinnacle and I’m sure they have a lot in common dealing with the pressures to succeed.

The real question, though, is will tonight’s game be brought up while sipping margaritas? That, is a question that may never be answered. Again, it’s good to see the two titans of their field have a mutual respect for each other.
