The Golden State Warriors will take on the Utah Jazz tonight for Game 3 and the Jazz will once again be without George Hill.

The Utah Jazz were looking to come home to Salt Lake City to try and win two games on their home floor, after dropping the first two in Oakland. They need to start by taking Game 3 on Saturday night, but it looks like they’ll be missing one of their key starters again in George Hill.

According to head coach Quin Snyder, Hill is still being hampered by left toe soreness and will not be playing tonight. Here’s the clip of Snyder discussing the injury that is sidelining Hill for the second straight playoff game.

Snyder didn’t mention who would start in place of Hill, but it will most likely be Shelvin Mack. Utah’s backup point guard also made the start in Game 2 in place of Hill and didn’t have the best of performances. Although he had 14 points, it was on 4-for-11 shooting.

All of Utah’s guards didn’t have performances to remember, as Rodney Hood, Raul Neto and Dante Exum all combined to go 7-for-21, scoring only 20 points. The Jazz aren’t going to beat the Golden State Warriors with that kind of performance from their guards.

As they return back to Vivint Smart Home Arena, the young guards should play better than they did on the road in Game 2 and they’ll need to if the Jazz want to climb back into this series. Utah’s superstars, Gordon Hayward and Rudy Gobert, will need to play even better than they did in Game 2, when the duo combined for 51 points on 19-for-32 shooting.

The crowd in Utah’s been waiting for this playoff game for a few days now and they’ll be extra rowdy ever since the “nightlife” comments made by the Warriors’ players. Regardless, without George Hill in Game 3, the Jazz will need all hands on deck to win.
