What TV channel is the Kentucky Derby on?
The Kentucky Derby is known as the fastest and most exciting two minutes in sports. In 2017, it should continue to live up to this tradition. Expect a very fast and exciting race with no fewer than six horses having a darn good chance of winning it. The race will be held on Saturday, May 6. It starts at 6:46 p.m. ET, so be sure to be tuning it at the sort of odd start time.
As always, the Derby will be aired on television. NBC will be airing it this year. Your cable provider should have it for you. If you have any questions about what channel NBC is on your television, check your TV guide or give your dish or cable provider a call.
NBCSN will be featuring the undercard of the coverage, which begins at 12:00 p.m. ET. NBC’s coverage will start at 2:00 p.m. ET. The undercard will feature several races, including the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic, Churchill Distaff Turf Mile, American Turf, Churchill Down, Humana Distaff and Pat Day Mile. Including the infamous Run for the Roses, which is the main event, 14 races will be held on Saturday.
Post time is 6:34 p.m. ET. This year’s field features some intriguing horses. Classic Empire appears to be the odds-on favorite, listed most recently at 4-1. However, right behind him at 5-1 are Always Dreaming and McCracken. At 6-1, Irish War Cry can’t be counted out either. Gormely at 15-1 can’t be counted out either.

If you are away from your television, you can still watch the Kentucky Derby. You have two options – either you can go to NBC’s live stream or check out Fubo.TV’s live stream. Either one should be a good option for you if you want to watch the Derby away from your television.
